Paris in 24 Hours
Paris holds a very special place in my heart. Growing up, I told myself that I would visit Paris only when I found the man I was going to marry. And in the most serendipitous of ways, in 2014, it actually happened. I took a trip to Paris with my then-boyfriend, Chiz. I fell completely in love with the city and ever since then, I’ve taken every opportunity I’ve had to fly back.
Over the years, I’ve formed a bond with Paris. The streets, the sights, and even the smell of the air – it has all become familiar to me. Though it would be a dream to take long vacations to the city, my schedule only ever allows me to take short trips. But I’m not complaining – Paris is magical no matter the length of visit. I decided to curate a perfect day in Paris, for those like me who have only a little time to spare. Whether Paris is your city of choice for a layover or a daytrip, take this guide with you if you want to experience the city through my eyes.
9AM: Breakfast At The Ritz
Walking into the Ritz for breakfast in the morning is a royal feeling – the arched doorways, grand chandeliers, glittering tableware – you feel like Marie Antoinette! Whenever I go, I opt to order the most French thing of course – croissants!
11 AM: Shopping!
There’s no shopping heaven like Le Bon Marché Department Store. Not only does it house every designer name in the book, but it also works like a museum - showcasing tons of contemporary art and furniture around the space. A place where art meets fashion? Now that’s my cup of tea.
Coat - Delpozo; Top - Uniqlo; Jeans - Zara; Belt Bag - Tchi-Tchi - Pumps - Louboutin; Bracelet - Cartier; Earrings and Rings - Royal Gem.
1PM: Lunch.
For lunch in Paris, nothing beats al fresco dining. I opt for my favourite French restaurants, either L’Avenue or La Société, which both have delightful outdoor dining areas.
3PM: Vintage Shopping
Paris is such a rich place for one-of-a-kind vintage finds. I suggest a walk down Palais Royale for some vintage furniture shopping, where you can find tableware, ceramics, and curiosities of all kind, all with their own interesting stories to tell.
4PM: A Visit to L’eclaireur
Fornasetti is one of my many favorite artists. I stop by a boutique called L’eclaireur, right in front of Sofitel, to buy some of her pieces for my home.
5PM: A Stroll around Jardin de Tuileries
Jardin de Tuileries is especially beautiful before sunset. Enjoy a stroll by the many tree-lined gardens, or relax with a book by a park bench.
Coat - Dolce and Gabbana; Vest and Dress - Carolina Herrera; Pumps - Louboutin; Bag - Hermes; Bracelet - Cartier; Earrings and Rings - Royal Gem.
7PM: Dinner at Da Rocco
Paris is a hub for food from all over the world, so I love to try different cuisines when I'm there. I particularly love having an Italian dinner at Da Rocco.
9PM: Gelato for Dessert
There are gelato stands in every corner of Paris. Grab one after dinner to cap off your perfect day in Paris.
